You
really enjoyed your Open-water course, and you want to improve
your dive skills, and gain some more experience? Then the
advanced course is for you. The PADI advanced program is designed
to enhance your dive skills and diving experiences. Your advanced
course is made up of 5 training dives, each dive will enhance
you dive skills and, or knowledge. Our 2 day Advanced
course gives you 5 dives 3 of which are conducted
from the beach on magnetic island and 2 dives on the S.S Yongala
wreck. Your course includes;

Day
1 Magnetic Island.
Choose
any 3 of these dives
Naturalist
dive For this dive your instructor
will ask you to identify a range of different
marine creatures. and introduce to new species
that you never new existed they will also explain
a little about each of them to you.
Navigation
dive On this dive your instructor will
set you specific navigational tasks and show
you the best way to achieve them. You'll be
shown the correct way to use an underwater compass
and how you can use the natural environment
to help you find your way around underwater.
Peak
Performance Buoyancy For this dive
your instructor will show you how to properly
weight yourself, and take you through a range
of buoyancy skills. By improving your buoyancy
control you will find diving even more relaxing
and fun.
Wreck
dive On this dive you will be asked
by your instructor to identify several hazards
that maybe associated with diving on wrecks,
and they will explain ways that you can minimize
the risks caused by those hazards. you'll also
be asked to identify some points of interest
on the wreck.
Night
dive Get to experience what it's like to dive
at night! (Condtions permitting)

2 The S.S. Yongala shipwreck.
What
makes The S.S Yongala wreck so special.
Is the incredible diversity of marine life that
concregate in and around the wreck. Because of
it's location roughly in the middle between the
mainland and the reef it has become an underwater
oasis.That
has attracted everything from the smallest crustations
through to Giant Queensland grouper, Rays, Turtles,
Sea Snakes and the list goes on. Here you can
choose to do:
Deep
dive For this dive your instructor
will explain to you, how diving at deeper
depths may affect you while your diving. They
will take you through the precautions that
you need to take for a deep dive and how to
avoid the risks associated with them, to make
them as safe as possible.
Boat
dive On this dive your instructor will take
you through the procedures for diving from a
boat safely and competently,
Wreck
dive On this dive you will be asked
by your instructor to identify several hazards
that maybe associated with diving on wrecks,
and they will explain ways that you can minimize
the risks caused by those hazards. you'll also
be asked to identify some points of interest
on the wreck.
